The course helped me to feel more positive about myself and gave me hope that I could get better when I was initially in a bad place. Lindsey was very welcoming and showed real empathy to people's difficulties. She also shared her own experiences which gave the course a very personal approach. The skills and tools that we were shown were explained well with good demonstraions and the 'homeplay' gave us a chance to practice and feedback our experiences.
This was a worthwhile experience and I would highly recommend this course to others.

Lindsey is extremely knowledgable and went out of her way to teach us her knowledge and expertise & to give personal extra support to those who needed it. I learned lots of skills to learn to be calm and relaxed; I learned skills for self esteem, EFT tapping, pain , addiction, forgiveness, loving self and giving love. I learned life skills.... best course ever for life skills.

Groupwork was safe, therapeutic and friendly, we helped each other and I met like-minded people, group setting highly effective for psychoeducation, learned how to use techniques may help reduce my need for medication and hospital admissions.

I've been seeing Lindsey on a somewhat regular basis for a couple of years now, and I really value my time with her.
My first session was gifted to me by a friend when I was going through a really
chaotic time in my life, and so my first session brought up a lot of difficult and raw
unprocessed emotions based on that time - it was like the floodgates had opened
and back then, I was too scared to delve deeper, even though I knew it was
ultimately what I needed, but I just kept putting it off.
Lindsey’s approach within even that first session, her compassionate, practical,
supportive nature stood out to me, and eventually is what brought me back to her a
year or so later!
I came back with a healthier perception of therapy and wanting to give it a chance
again with Lindsey because of how comfortable I felt speaking with her. She has a grounded, compassionate, non judgemental, but also directive when appropriate approach to her sessions. This really resonates with the style in which I like to receive support, especially when the state of my mental health is exacerbated with various environmental concerns that I can have limited control in addressing, but Lindsey's approach helps me to figure out how I can channel my energies towards
these.
Lindsey tailors her approach to suit my needs throughout, and sometimes that means giving me homework to go away with, and even when I have struggled with this - she responds and adapts to what is useful for me at the time. But she is also
able to tell me when I need to take on some hard truths in a non-judgemental manner. She is extremely patient, flexible, and her support is always constant in a way that always affirms that she has my best interests at heart.
I have struggled with people pleasing throughout my life, and with putting in healthy
boundaries. In previous counselling experiences, I have often subconsciously
masked how I was feeling. I did this in response to trying to fit in with a particular
counselling style. But with Lindsey, I feel liberated to express myself authentically -
able to open up more comfortably than I have before, and this is credit to her
therapeutic style. This is helping me to work on creating clearer boundaries and
people please less.
I feel like she's real when I'm talking to her, there’s a deep level of relatability within
Lindsey's sessions. I never feel like she is talking down to me or just being an 'armchair therapist'- I come away from sessions feeling like I have learned a lot, rather than just ticking a mental box.

Over the years, I have been able to notice positive and eye-opening shifts when it
comes to understanding and healing my own mental health, and unhealthy childhood
programming and trauma. I've been able to internally track my own patterns with
Lindsey's help and guidance and have come away feeling like I have gained more
kindness and compassion for myself and others.

Lindsey is an affirming angel when you need one on your shoulder, and a positively
non-shaming, directive teacher when you need one too! I am thankful for her strong, quiet, warm, support.
